Perry

My name is Kattee Perry and I am a senior at the University of Florida majoring in International Studies with a minor in Chinese. My undergraduate experience has greatly impacted and shaped my global perspective. I have been very fortunate and have been presented with many opportunities along the way that have helped me learn a lot about myself, my passions, and my goals. I am a proud Gator and International Scholars Program Scholar.

My global learning experience began early in my life but went unnoticed for a long time. I grew up in Pinellas County, Florida, surrounded by a diverse population. All the schools and communities I lived in were true melting pots I had not realized how much I had grown from. I had constant exposure to several different cultures and languages throughout my childhood. I believe this is where I developed an interest in the world and my desire to learn about more cultures.

Through my involvement with international organizations such as the Chinese American Student Association (CASA), the International Scholars Program, and the English Language Institute (ELI) as well as my study abroad in Taipei, Taiwan I have internationalized my life experience and gained skills such as cross-cultural communications, networking, collaboration, interpersonal influence, and flexibility.
